Ong Su-ming
dropped by in November and she brought along her sister Qiu-ming Hay, her son
Jeremy Hay and wife Keleakai Burns and their son Dante Hay. They live in the Unites States specifically Hawaii and California.
Ong Su-ming
was instrumental in introducing Ian Andersson to Datuk KK Lim. Their
association led to the creation of the Han Chin Pet Soo (HCPS) Museum. For many years after HCPS started it was continuously rated as the top tourist destination in Perak by Trip Advisor the
online travel agency.
Su-ming’s father was Tan Sri Ong Hock Thye, the Chief Judge of Malaya. He was the other principal of the established law firm called Yeoh “Cheang Lee and Ong”. In 1935, he married Chong Khew Yin (1915–1942) but she died early. Ong remarried in 1943 to Mary Chung Yuet See (1924–1995), the eldest daughter of Kapitan China Chung Thye Phin.
The visitors viewed the museum and were impressed. However the information regarding her fathers law firm of Cheang Lee and Ong was inaccurate and Su-ming promptly corrected them.
