Peter Lo who visited his relatives literally on the west coast of Peninsula Malaysia described it as a landmark visit.

“My relatives came out of the woodwork to meet me. They were all grandchildren of my aunts and uncles. This was the first time I met with Chew Poh Lian and Lynet Goh Harun. Also Ong Pek Lian whom I haven’t met since 1967 or maybe more.”

The whole trip was from 3 October to 1 November 2023. Beginning in Singapore then from KL we drove north to Kampar, Ipoh and Penang. After a week in Penang, we drove south to Taiping where I met Ong Pek.

From there it was on to Ipoh for an overnight at the Octagon and a great view of the city. From Ipoh it was to Melaka. Parted ways with my old school friend and we took the bus to Singapore before we departed for home.
