It's now known as 8 Gurney. I was told by the late Khaw Cheng Bor in 2018 that the original name of Gurney was ...."Cedar Bank because it had a huge drain leading to the sea. Later it was changed to North Beach Road and lastly became known as Gurney Drive". Could this entrance be the location where Chew Gaik Swee started her first boutique?? |
