Descendants of Wu Lien Teh and Sun Yat Sen Visit YLCO Museum

The saying ‘It Never Rains It Pours’ was an appropriate description for the morning of July 8. We had Mr Alex Chong, the descendant of Dr Wu Lean Teh arriving that morning. Alex Chong was scheduled to present the book of Dr Wu Lien Teh for his up-and-coming exhibit at the Museum of Families.

Other guests included Alexandra Sun a great grandniece of Sun Yat Sen whom Ignatius Chew met at the talk given by Dr Leong Oon Keong talk yesterday evening. Alexandra Sun came with Khoo Salma and hubby Abdur-Razzaq Lubis book publishers of Areca Book. Ignatius had invited them to view YLCO (Yeoh Lim Chew & Oh) museum this morning. All others visitors were bloggers, Ansell Tan a filmmaker and Chen Kong Hoy, a Ketua Kampung Kopisan, Gopeng making for an interesting morning. 

Khoo Salma the co-author of the classic heritage book “Kinta Valley” was full of questions for Ignatius collection of 100 years of his family photos. He was assisted by Yeoh Lam Swee a nephew of Ignatius.

Khoo Salma took photos of Ignatius aunt who is the relation of Nancy Kwan the actress  ....

..including the Chew and Yeoh families

Alexandra Sun eyes caught sight of Ignatius Chew’s uncle Chew Boon Hong's autobiography. His uncle Chew was a China scholar whose 60 page autobiography related the story of his descendants dating back 600 years. Ignatius had it translated partially as it was written in old Chinese text and was difficult to fully translate. Alexandra Sun enlightened Ignatius to translate it in full.

Alexandra took an interest of the Yeoh families ...

Besides the questions and interest in taking photos with the Oscar award winning actress Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh the morning was hectic but totally interesting enjoyed by all.
