Members of the Federation of Methodist Schools Alumni
Associations of Malaysia or FMSAAM got a bonus when they recently held their meeting at 1 Jalan Lasam earlier this week. The members got to view photos of Michelle
Yeoh, her early years with her family and her career when they toured
the YLCO (Yeoh, Lim, Chew and Oh) museum.
Michelle Yeoh had won 95th Oscar Award for
Best Actress for the film Everything, Everywhere All At Once and became the first
Asian to have won the award.
Museum curator Ignatius Chew, who is Michelle’s uncle, had laid out the front pages of the mornings papers all of which featured Michelle’s Oscar win. In another section more photographs of her earlier years with the family and career was on display.

The guests were “excited at this opportunity to know this Oscar celebrity”
said Bessie Cheah one of the participants.
“We were aware that the YLCO museum and Michelle had
a relationship when we booked the venue for our retreat. The date of our retreat worked to our advantage. We are all
very proud of her achievement” added Cheah.

He thanked the management of 1Jalan Lasam for being
supportive of an educational NGO and described the location as conducive and
inspiring.
